Marketplace terms

Marketplace role

Delivery Captains provides a marketplace for boat owners and independent captains. It is not the employer, vessel operator, insurer, broker or party to a delivery contract. Owners and captains decide whether to work together and contract directly.

User responsibilities

Users must provide accurate information. Owners are responsible for vessel readiness, title or authority, insurance and disclosure of known conditions. Captains are responsible for maintaining valid credentials, insurance where applicable, safe operating judgment and compliance with maritime, customs and local requirements.

Verification and safety

A submitted or reviewed credential is not a guarantee of identity, competence, availability or fitness for a specific passage. Before departure, both parties should independently verify credentials, references, insurance, vessel condition, weather plans, expenses, crew, reporting and emergency procedures in a written agreement.

Captain access

Delivery listings are public. Owner contact access is free for captains whose credentials have been approved by staff. Approval does not guarantee work, leads, rankings or revenue.

Prohibited use

Users may not submit fraudulent information, scrape private contact data, misuse credentials, violate law, or use the service to facilitate unsafe or unauthorized vessel movements.
